Bush setting next to town, funky house including home office, quirky hosts.
This is the Deal
We have different needs at different times.
We will have permaculture gardening and tree planting tasks when the wet season starts.
Present tasks are more centered around minor gardening, housework and especially office work: admin and routine computer tasks on the one hand; and also a fascinating set of tasks around creating an Apple Newstand magazine for which we would love extra journalistic and editing skills, graphic art skills, and/or some serious geekiness!
Distinctly unmodern house on a hectare next to State Forest hiking and mountain biking trails and only one kilometer from Atherton shops.
Surrounded by gardens, some wild, some vegetable, and with a revegetation and erosion control project well advanced on our intermittent creek.
Small kitchen and no gourmet accoutrements!
One small room available which is fine for one and ok for a couple at a stretch. Plenty of room for a camper or tent, including space under a shed roof.
I am well connected here on the Atherton Tablelands and have sometimes found accommodation or work for those who decide to stay in the area for a while. At the moment I do not offer any paid work or longer stays but have done so in the past and may do so during our tree planting season.
Smoking is ok outside. Heavy drinking, drugs and loud music are not part of our lifestyle. Our Wifi is pretty good; earphones are requested for any audio. Mobile coverage is good only for the Telstra network. Our housekeeping is not fanatical but we do appreciate visitors who contribute to keeping things clean and a bit tidy.
