Spend some time in an ashram near Byron Bay, Australia

"Our meditation practice underlies all we do here; we live, work, and play in awareness of our deeper nature, so anyone who joins us should be ready to look into their inner world."

This is the Deal

Our ashram is located in northern New South Wales, near Lismore, Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and Bangalow.

This is a very different work exchange opportunity from many others; we work here at the ashram, with heart and hands, to nourish our spirits and transform our lives. Please read our profile carefully before requesting to come and stay. We prefer to take on people who are ready to stay and work with us for at least one month.

Our ashram consists of a small community of vibrant individuals, strong in spirit and energy, who are taking time out from the outside world and connecting deeply to our inner selves.

We are seeking passionate, active individuals to help out with gardening, landscaping, cleaning and cooking, who are ready to live consciously, joyfully, and in tune with nature. If you have a yearning to leave behind the stress of life in a big city, and are seeking to nurture your creativity in a group of like-minded people, then this opportunity is for you.

Hundreds of people from all over the world have enjoyed their stay here from countries such as Australia, USA, Sweden, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Belgium, Italy, Croatia, Kenya, Taiwan, China, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Germany, Canada and New Zealand.

There are 10 kilometres of walking tracks though our unspoiled forest and a beautiful creek with a swimming hole. We practice yoga and meditation daily, and in our spare time we play music, make art, and have nightly dance parties. We prepare two nourishing vegetarian meals per day and a lot of our produce is grown on the land.

We only welcome people who have the intention to stay with us for at least one month, as it takes time to settle in and really connect with our daily program. Our day is scheduled around working on the land, practicing meditation, and expressing our creativity in diverse ways. If you are interested in sustainable living, spiritual growth, and community lifestyle, then this is a valuable opportunity to learn, share, and grow with others.

Come with the intention to take the time to care and nurture yourself while giving all your energy to be part of a unique and beautiful community.

See you soon!
