Volunteers to Mexico with United Vision, o.s.

This is the Deal

United Vision, o.s. is a non-governmental organization. Its aim is to fight poverty, provide and spread enlightment about the situation in developing world and promote volunteering.

United Vision, o.s. primarily sends well-trained volunteers to countries of the Third World (in the first stage - Mexico) who teach (free of charge) English using highly effective method. The help is aimed at rural areas with some tourist potential. The intent is that local people could make use of the knowledge of English at labour-market or they could start off their own business activities connected with (eco)tourism.

In the next stage of the project other types of help are planned to be complemented to the local developing support - microfinances, fairtrade, setting up an e-shop with interesting products from local people, help with promotion and development of local ecoturistic activities, looking for sponsors for education of children (so called „adoption at a distance“).

Accommodation provides local organization Productores Forestales de Calacmul (PFC), in Hotel in the village of Valentín Gómez Farías (VGF). It is a two-storey building with 4 rooms with private bathrooms and a shared kitchen. The room is equipped with two beds, one desk and one wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and mirror. Water flows quite smoothly.

There is a Wi-Fi in the Hotel.

The community kitchen is equipped very modestly. For cooking, there are two one-ring stoves, some dishes and refrigerator, but no piped water. The water is gathered in the bathroom and stored in the kitchen.

We as NGO don't collect any additional fees from volunteers but ask them to write blog which serves as a source of information for other volunteers going to Mexico, us and public.
