Voluntariado y turismo comunitario solidario

"Coagro prefer to have a direct contact with volunteers or interested people to a rural development"

This is the Deal

COAGRO Foundation is a non-profit institution founded in 1998 with the aim of supporting the social development of the Andean communities of northern Ecuador, especially rural women.

We work with rural communities in Ecuador providing job opportunities and supporting local small businesses. Further, we help women to start up their own businesses and to become financially independent. Our goal is also to support regional issues such as organic agriculture, biodiversity, environment, small animal breeding, training and technology transfer, rural micro-finance, and crafts in the region of the Pedro Moncayo and Cayambe Cantons.

Every year, COAGRO hosts volunteers coming from various countries to support us in our work in the Pedro Moncayo canton, located in the Pichincha province of Ecuador. We always need volunteers to support us in various projects in several communities of the Pichincha province, while we sometimes also work in the Imbabura province. Volunteers bring their skills and knowledge to the community and have the opportunity to be involved in the daily life of our communities.

As for the requirements, it depends on the project and is stated below. Volunteers have to be 21 years old when they begin volunteering, have a basic level of Spanish, and make a commitment of at least 1 month
