Comfortable Country Living

"We love to watch things grow, as much as we like flowers we much prefer to grow food. We are easy going and enjoy to relax in the evening with a meal and a wine"

This is the Deal

Work on the property will be, fencing, gardening planting of trees and seedlings. Cleaning of animal enclosures. Feeding of animals. General farm work

We have a 15 acre property of natural bush and pasture, in the upper Derwent Valley in Tasmania. Water is supplied by an underground stream which surfaces on the property. We grow fruit and vegetables that most of the year supplies out organic cafe.
we also house unwanted, abused or abandoned animals.

We are interested in anyone that likes to grow their own food or willing to learn.

What Else

We require volunteers to speak some English, and to be flexible. At times there will be very busy days and others quite relaxing. As we have a lot of pets volunteers must love animals and be respectful that this is their home and that the volunteer is the guest.

Accommodation is in the house, queen size bed, walk in wardrobe and ensuite. We require the room to be kept clean and tidy at all times. Volunteers will have access to the kitchen and the property, and we would prefer someone that can easily look after themselves.
As our work times vary we can not guarantee that we will always be
able to enjoy meals together, but meals will be supplied regardless
